Requesting an appointment

You can request an appointment with a doctor or other healthcare professional online (Monday to Friday).

We aim to respond to requests within 2 working hours during opening times.

Urgent appointments

If you require an urgent appointment, please call the practice on 01384 426929 from 8am.

Routine appointments

You can request a routine appointment with a nurse or healthcare assistant up to 4 weeks in advance.

Please remember an appointment is for 1 person only.

Routine appointments can be booked up to 4 weeks in advance.

Extended hours (pre-bookable only)

Available up to 2 weeks in advance for people whose work commitments limit their access to medical care. Please call for details.

Extended hours: Monday, 6:30pm-8:30pm.

Emergency appointments

Emergency appointments are available for problems that cannot wait. You will be given a specific time however, you may have to wait to be seen by whichever doctor is available. If the condition is not thought to be urgent you may be asked to make a routine appointment. Please do not use these appointments for long-standing or trivial complaints. Patients who continually abuse this service will receive a warning letter. Only the acute problem will be dealt with within the appointment.

Extended Access

In the Stourbridge, Wollescote & Lye area practices are working in partnership to provide additional GP appointments. If you need access to an evening or weekend non-urgent appointment, please call the practice on 01384 426929 and speak to the receptionist at your registered practice during normal opening hours.

Your appointment may be with another practice in the Stourbridge, Wollescote and Lye area and may not be at your registered practice.

In the Stourbridge, Wollescote and Lye area, the following practices are working in partnership to provide additional GP appointments:

Telephone advice

The doctors may deal with your problem with advice over the phone, taken between 11:30 and 12:00. If the doctor is busy, a message will be taken with the doctor calling back or suggesting an alternative time to ring.

Cancelling or changing an appointment

To cancel your appointment:

If you need help when we are closed

If you need medical help now, use NHS 111 online or call 111.

NHS 111 online is for people aged 5 and over. Call 111 if you need help for a child under 5.

Call 999 in a medical or mental health emergency. This is when someone is seriously ill or injured and their life is at risk.

If you need help with your appointment

Please tell us:

  • if there’s a specific doctor, nurse or other health professional you would prefer to respond
  • if you would prefer to consult with the doctor or nurse by phone, face-to-face, by video call or by text or email
  • if you need an interpreter
  • if you have any other access or communication needs

Home visits

Home visits will only be made to patients the doctors consider to ill or immobile to come to the surgery. A request for a home visit should be made before 10:00am to allow the reception team time to assist the doctors in deciding the degree of urgency.

It is not a guarantee that everyone will get a home visit. The doctor will call you to assess the need and make a decision from there.

Situations where visiting is not required:

  • Common symptoms of childhood (fever, cold, cough, earache, diarrhoea/vomiting)
  • Adults with common problems (cough, sore throat, flu, back pain)
  • Elderly adults with common problems (poor mobility, joint pain or general malaise)
